Hi! This is my first blog, I am new to this blog thing. Anyhow, I am a recent college grad looking to break into a career in my major. I recently finished an internship in D.C. as a public relations intern where I was responsible for writing and editing company publications such as press releases and a monthly e-newsletter. I enjoyed it thoroughly and now I am ready to apply everything I learned from this internship and previous experiences. So, since my internship I have been looking for work. It has been hard, discouraging and even disappointing. However, I am going to feel sorry for myself because I am extremely marketable and it will be in due time an employer will find me as I am searching for them! I have taken on a part-time job at a department store, this was the hardest to deal with because it was the last place I thought I would end up. Later, I realized we have to stop and 'fill in' the spaces as a wise friend told me. So, I have swallowed my pride and I go to work when I have to and work my behind of. I know I am not going to be there forever. Well, this is my day off so I have to get back to my to-do list!
